A slope does not need to be steep to affect machine stability. Add a raised boom, an extended load, uneven ground, soft soil, or travel movement, and the machine’s balance can change faster than expected.
From the cab, the setup may feel routine until the rear end gets light, the machine leans, the load shifts, or the ground gives way.
Before lifting or travelling, stop and ask:
What changes when the boom goes up?
What changes when the load reaches out?
Is there a safer way to set up?
Professional operators do not wait for the machine to feel unstable. They plan before it gets there.
Stability starts before the lift.
