According to WCB data from 2019â2023:
– 52 workers lost their lives due to workplace falls
– 38,000+ fall-related injuries were reported
– These injuries resulted in $142 million in claims costs and 300,000 lost workdays every year
Key insights:
– 50% of fatalities occurred in construction
– Workers 55+ accounted for nearly two-thirds of fatal fall claims
