First Aid Training Edmonton | Touchback Safety

Please call our office to register for all First Aid training. We offer four course options to suit different workplace requirements and experience levels.

Intermediate First Aid CPR/AED Level C — $150.00

This 16-hour course is the most commonly required First Aid training in Alberta workplaces. Previously called Standard First Aid, it gives participants the skills and knowledge to respond effectively until EMS arrives.

In addition to CPR, this course covers a wide range of emergency scenarios. Therefore, it is the right choice for most workplaces that require comprehensive first aid certification.

Basic First Aid CPR/AED Level C — $120.00

This 8-hour course is a one-day introduction to First Aid. Previously called Emergency First Aid, it concentrates primarily on CPR skills, controlling bleeding, treating shock, and managing respiratory emergencies.

Because this course covers the core essentials, it suits worksites with lower-risk environments or workers who need a foundational certification quickly.

Blended Learning First Aid CPR/AED Level C

Our Blended Learning option lets participants complete the theory portion online before attending a one-day in-class practical session. Because it offers flexibility without sacrificing quality, it is a popular choice for busy workers.

Pricing

  • Intermediate First Aid: $50 theory portion + $100 practical portion
  • Basic First Aid: $50 theory portion + $65 practical portion

Course Length

  • Part 1: 6 to 8 hours of online learning (time may vary by learner)
  • Part 2: 7 hours of in-class practical training

This course meets legislation requirements for provincial and territorial worker safety and insurance boards. It also includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Therefore, it is equivalent to the traditional two-day Standard First Aid course.

Health Care Provider CPR

This 4-hour course is for workers and students in healthcare settings such as dentistry, chiropractic, rehabilitation, and assisted living. Because it follows the 2020 CPR guidelines, it meets the highest current standards for healthcare providers.

A renewal option is available for those with a valid HCP certificate at $70 per person for group bookings of 8 or more.

This course is equivalent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada’s Health Care Provider CPR program. However, retraining is recommended every year prior to expiry.
