But after doing the same task over and over, it’s easy
for the brain to say:
“I’ve done this a hundred times.”
That’s when autopilot can sneak in.
Whether you’re operating a bucket truck, forklift,
telehandler, skid steer, or MEWP, routine can make real
hazards feel invisible. Slopes, blind spots, overhead
hazards, unstable ground, load limits, traffic, and
changing site conditions still matter every single time.
The machine may be familiar.
The task may be routine.
But the risk is never on vacation.
Refresher training helps experienced operators reset,
refocus, and keep the basics from becoming
background noise.
Don’t let routine run the machine. Stay sharp, check
twice, and keep autopilot off.
