MEWP – Mobile Elevated Work Platforms Instructor Training
Pre Requisite:
- 2 Years in Safety/Construction Industry and 1 Year working specifically with EWP’s
- Must also have valid Fall Protection
- Length: 4 days (8am – 4:30 pm)
Course Content:
- End User
- NEW MEWP CSA/ISO and ANSI Standards
- MEWP Awareness and Safety
- Workshops on Self Propelled, Boom Supported, Manually Propelled, CSA & ANSI Standards. Model &Component Identification Workshop, Operator Manual Workshop.
- Instructor Development and Implementation and Presentations
- Presentations of Theory and Practical
Upon Completion the Trainee Instructor will complete 1 – 2 co-teaches with a Lead Instructor.
Audits are conducted to maintain Integrity and Quality training.
First Audit will be held 6 months after completion of Instructor Training, and then every 2 years.
Fall Protection Instructor Training
Pre Requisite:
- 2 Years in Safety/Construction Industry and 1 Year working specifically with Fall Protection
- Length: 3 days (8am – 4:30 pm)
Course Content:
- Workshops on Hazard Assessments, Elimination & Control
- Types of Fall Protection and Purposes of Equipment
- Calculations, Fall Protection Plan
- OH&S and Manufacturer requirements
- Instructor Development and Implementation and Presentations
Upon Completion the Trainee Instructor will complete 1 – 2 coteaches with a Lead Instructor.
Audits are conducted to maintain Integrity and Quality training.
First Audit will be held 6 months after completion of Instructor Training, and then every 2 years.
Confined Space Tending Worker Instructor Training
Pre Requisite:
- 2 Years in Safety/Construction Industry or 1 Year working specifically with Confined Spaces
- Length: 2 days (8am – 4:30 pm)
Course Content:
- End User
- Workshops on Hazard Assessments, Elimination & Control
- All Applicable Legislations, CSA requirements
- Understanding the Levels of Confined Space
- Requirements of Monitors and tending workers
- Rescue requirements and Emergency Response
- Types of Monitors
- Communication Methods
- Instructor Development and Implementation and Presentations
Upon Completion the Trainee Instructor will complete 1 – 2 coteaches with a Lead Instructor.
